What is important to me?
Not everyone comes from a family where focusing on your priorities in life and your career opportunities are their priority. Most families have competing priorities and life is a juggle of all of them to keep all moving parts going in a forward direction. If you have people in your life that care about you that still doesn't mean that your career is their priority.
