What is a representation letter and why do I need to know about it?
The simple answer is, if you engage with recruiters you will find that most recruiter's will ask you to sign a letter of representation. A letter of representation is usually for a specific position within a specific organization to protect the recruiter, you and any fee attached to potential placement of you. When recruiters engage with clients on a non-exclusive basis it is possible if not protected, to find themselves in a questionable position about related fees.
